MILANO MONTAGNA WEEK 2019

The first ever “week” entirely dedicated to mountain and outdoor culture, promoted by the Municipality of Milan and Milano Montagna, took place from the 14th till the 20th of October with over 30 events all around the city in schools, libraries, shops, cinemas, museums, theatres and cultural hubs.
The Sustainable Outdoor Days, main event of Milano Montagna Week at BASE Milano, got a load of great stories and athletes, premieres and sustainability.

SOD | SUSTAINABLE OUTDOOR DAYS 2019

In 2019 Milano Montagna’s original four days were transformed into the Sustainable Outdoor Days that took place from the 17th till the 20th of October at BASE Milano, all rigorously free and accessible. A record turnout, with over 20.000 visitors who had their pick of over 100 guests, 25 films, 3 exhibitions, action sport… all constructed around the theme of environmental sustainability, diving life to the new name: Sustainable Outdoor Days.

MILANO MONTAGNA FESTIVAL AND FUORI FESTIVAL 2018

The 2018 edition of our Festival narrated the Traces we leave behind us, together with those that the mountains leave within us. After the success of the four past editions, Milano Montagna Festival has enlarged towards the city with the Fuori Festival: a constellation of events that have enlivened Milan for a whole week, engaging all the enthusiasts of sport, culture, food and technologies linked to mountain and outdoors.

4 days of Festival at BASE Milano with more than 30 films (of which 24 premieres), 50 events (with more than 60 guests), 2 exhibitions and 2 nights with DJ set. Plus, the Fuori Festival, with more than 70 events scattered around the city. Festival 2018 Fuori Festival 2018

MILANO MONTAGNA FESTIVAL 2017

Women, rebels, mountains.
Stories, dreams, projects, ascents and descents in the sharpest and visionary place of Milan.
Great guests and international athlets (Eleonora Delnevo, Adam Ondra e Anna Torretta), world premieres and retrospectives, books presentations and scientific studies on the environment. An opportunity to learn about stories of women and men who have challenged the big mountains and moved the thresholds of their own disciplines. Books, sciences and history with Michele Freppaz, Alessandro Gogna, Marco Camanni and Alberto Bregani. Two competitions: Vibram Factory, dedicated to technologies and gears for sports training and Video Awards for the promotion of independent videos Festival 2017

MILANO MONTAGNA FESTIVAL 2016

October 2016: The third edition of the Milano Montagna Festival at the Fabbrica del Vapore, in Collaboration with the University and the City of Milan. The main news are the action sports (climbing wall, pumptruck, slacklines…) and the video awards for emerging directors from more than 20 different countries
